BRIXTON BOLT 2014 Promo

What does it take to win... The Brixton Bolt was a community fun 100- meter race, Inspired by Usain Bolt's victory and Brixton's response to that at the London 2012 Olympics. The concept for the Brixton Bolt race itself came about by it's organiser Tom Shakli. Working with Tom who tasked me to create the promo the intention was to film & involve the talents of Brixton's diverse community as the race was promoted to challenge every man woman and child. I came up with Brixton's own avatar a fictional superhero styled character as a concept for these promos. The running style was an important part of it's identity with big strides, each step leaping into bursts of flight. This anonymous & mysterious characters role was to be a type of mentor and had inspirations similar to the motoring TV series Top Gears character “The Stig”. I created him from scratch as a 3d model originally for the Brixton Bolt 2013 promo which had more live action VFX and adapted him for 2014 with an upgraded aerodynamic outfit, helmet and simpler go faster streaks. I directed and co-produced the music with its creator Isacco.
